Started by missing 9-12 questions on LG and I finally went minus 0 on a timed PT! Your course is the best! I constantly keeping referring back to the fundamental lessons, they are sooo useful.
I found the course VERY helpful. It's a bit of a different approach than what I was used to but it offers insights that other services couldn't. The way he breaks down the question is really helpful for me. Plus I like how he didn't force splitting or diagramming everything and let the questions sometime dictate the diagrams. This saves a lot of time. Couldn't be happier!
The course is helping me work faster!
The videos do a great job of showing you what deductions you will need to answer each question. I never thought about interchangeability before, but it completely makes sense and helps when answering the questions faster on the exam.
Why do you make it look so easy? Good stuff. Really enjoying the idea behind interchangeability.
I think that if I had followed your methodology immediately in studying LG, I would have seen results much, much quicker than I did.
The Odyssey videos definitely feel more professional than others. The videos mimic the traditional classroom, and I prefer that. I think your videos feel more comfortable for the familiarity of the setting. They're nicely paced and so easy to connect with.
The explanation video for the Mauve Dinosaurs Game (PT 57-3) is incredible!
The setups are simple and to the point. The deductions Jon makes are powerful and relate to the questions. Once I had the setup correct, the questions were a breeze to go through. If you take the time upfront it will reward you on the back end on the questions. Great display of work here.
Jon McCarty does a very good job of breaking the complex statements down as this can get to be complicated reading in LSAT prep books.
I completed the entire LG section for PT 42 today, and used the video explanations to help understand the final two games. Some of the strategies, like the "capping," would really help with my timing.
This is different from what most of us are used to seeing. Very nicely explained!
I like that you don't erase anything! Obviously when you're writing the test, you're not going to be able to erase and it's really nice to see everything diagrammed and organized as it would be on the actual test page.
The games were a challenge for me right from the get-go but by having each game spelled out neatly for the setup I was able to understand visually what I needed to do and what I missed in my deductions (which was quite a bit). Without the deductions, there is no way to get the answer choices. Love the course!
def my go-to LG vid's for explanations.
Odyssey showed me how I was missing advanced not spots on practice exams that I took and gave me more tools to use on future exams and games.
Jon McCarty does a great job of putting conditional statements in simple terms verses what some books show and he keeps reiterating the concepts so they stick.
Great breakdown of complex conditional statements that can be tricky to decipher.
